RPNA Board Elections
It’s time once again for River Park to elect the leaders of our wonderful River Park Neighborhood Association (RPNA). The RPNA provides a host of benefits to the community, and participation is a thoroughly rewarding experience. We had an amazingly productive year with our current board, one of the most active in recent memory.
The RPNA Board of Directors has eleven members who serve two-year terms. There are five seats up for grabs in the election. If you would like to serve on the board in 2018, here is what you need to do.
Submit a candidate statement before October 30th. Candidate statements are limited to 150 words and all candidates must be current members of the RPNA. Candidate statements typically include information about what you love about River Park, how you would like to help the community, how your experience/skills could benefit RPNA, and things of that nature. Submit your candidate statement by email to membership@ riverparksacramento.net or by snail mail to RPNA, P.O. Box 19866, Sacramento, CA 95819. Ballots will be sent to all active RPNA members in mid-November, and will include candidate statements and a stamped return envelope. Ballots will be tallied in late November and the election results will be printed in the subsequent issue of the River Park Review.
Of course, you do not need to be a board member to serve on one of the 5 standing committees, or to participate in other ways. I look forward to having even stronger participation in 2018 and having a greater impact on our community, making it even more awesome than it already is.
