2018 Event Committee members needed!!!!!

Got ideas?

The River Park Neighborhood Association organizes a few events each year that make our neighborhood special.  The fun Forth of July and Car Parade, the informative General Meetings, and the upcoming (and increasingly competitive!) Holiday Lights Competition.

We’d love to have your input and help with making these events even better!

Do you have ideas or events that you’d like to see happen in River Park?

Would you willing to donate some time to helping improve (and maybe launch) events and activities?

If so, we would love your help in 2018 planning and organizing events for RPNA!

It’s easy!

Email Curtis Cogdill at innerdrivevideo@gmail.com and show up to our RPNA Event Committee meetings.

But I don’ have time!

Put in as much time as you can handle. Recruit a friend and cut that time in half!

The RPNA works on a limited budget and volunteer pool and we’d love to see it increased for 2018. The Board received excellent feedback from the “new and improved” Fourth of July Parade and Picnic and we’d love to see that momentum carried into the new year! It’s simple: The more help we can get, the better our events can become.

But wait, I’m not on the Board.

You do not need to be an RPNA board member to be on a committee, you just need to be willing to show up and share your ideas. Please consider volunteering your time and effort.

Other events we would love get off the ground are:

-River Park University (spend an evening with an expert and learn something new!)

-A River Park History Day (why in the world is it called Spilman Ave? Who was he anyways?)

-Halloween Decoration Contest (Win money for the most ghoulish and scary decorations!)

-Taking over the organization of the River Park Run to Feed the Hungry group.

-Bingo in the Park (Sounds great!)

-River Park Home Brewers tour. (

If you have any interest in being part of any of these events or even heading up the event please do not hesitate to contact me,
