Top 10 Things To Know for RP 4th of July Festival!

  1. Timing of events:
    • (While not organized by RPNA, Buffalo Chips run starts with a kids run at 7:45am and a 5-mile run at 8am.  See article in June RP Review for details)
    • The Classic Car parade gathers at 9am at the baseball park at Erlewine, begins around 9:35am, runs down Moddison, then Teichert, Sandburg, Minerva, Monalee, and then Carlson, finishing at Glenn Hall (see map linked here:
    • The Kids Firecracker Parade follows the classic cars from Caleb to Glenn Hall at 10am.  We ask kids assemble at Caleb at 9:30am
    • Beginning at 10am: Kids games, bounce houses, face painting balloon animals, and dunk tank!
    • Contests: 11am Hula Hoop, 11:20 Potato Sack, 11:40 Soak the Sponge, 12:00 Cupcake Eating
    • Event concludes at 1pm
  1. Street closures:  Several streets in RP will be briefly closed during these parades between the window of 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  (see map linked above).  We apologize for any inconvenience this causes residents.
  2. Live Band!   This year, we have gone back to having a live band at Glenn Hall during the festival.  The band is Radio Billionaires, who will be playing their “Rock and Roll Time Machine.”
  3. Food trucks!  This year, we have an expanded selection of food trucks, which include North Border Tacos, Flour Dust Pizza, and Nerdy Truck (burgers), and Meltdown Ice Cream.  They will be arriving at 7:30am, and two of the trucks will be serving breakfast & coffee.
  4. Games are “all inclusive” this year and CASH ONLY!: Wrist bands will be sold this year for $10 for kids five & older.  Hand stamps will be $5 for kids four and under. Wrist bands & hand stamps will cover games, contests, face painting, balloons, and bounce houses – everything but food.
  5. Renew RPNA membership and RP stickers available!:  Stop by our RPNA membership table at the festival to check/renew the status of your membership.  We also have car stickers available for $5!
