CSUS Arboretum Tour 10:00 am
Join the Sacramento Tree Foundation on a free guided tour of CSUS’ arboretum to learn all about the historic, unique, and unusual specimens found there in celebration of Arbor Day. Founded in 1959 on what used to be a pear orchard and hop ranch, the University Arboretum is located on a 3 acre site and features over 1,200 tress and botanical gardens. Expert Tree Tour Guide Luanne Leineke and CUSU Arboretum Director Dr. Mike Baad (also a River Park resident!) will be leading the tour.
Agenda released week of meeting. Will include discussion on future of River Park Review as well as a presentation/Q&A by the City of Sacramento re: Carlson Drive improvements.
Meeting starting at 7pm (instead of regular 7:30) to accommodate presentation by CalTrans regarding Highway 50 Corridor project.
Come out and run in Sacramento’s oldest running event. The Buffalo Chips 5 mile run winds its way through River Park, starting and ending at Glen Hall Park. There’s also a kids race up Sandburg, around a cone, and right back to their waiting parents at the park. Free event, no shirts, no medals, but plenty of fun!
